Park City Ski Resort is a great travel destination. With the Personal Mountain Planner at the official Park City Mountain Ski Resort website, you can even begin to experience the resort before you even arrive.

If you are traveling in from out of state, you will have easy access to the resort due to its location. Park City Ski Resort is located only 35 minutes from the Salt Lake International Airport. It’s very likely that you could hit the slopes the very same day that you arrive.

There is a lot of varied terrain for you to experience and enjoy at Park City Mountain Ski Resort. There are the wide-open Signature Runs which allow intermediate skiers to experience a little bit of what advanced terrain feels like.

If you are a beginner, you can coast down the easier slopes that begin at the summit and expand to the base of the mountain. Or if you feel up to it, you can brave the difficult pitches of Juniper Peak.

If you need to freshen up your skills, or learn completely from the beginning, Park City Ski Resort has a ski and snowboard school. There are also various kids’ programs if you are planning on a family vacation.

In most ski and snowboard schools around the country, it is difficult to get one-on-one attention, but at this resort it is guaranteed that there will be a maximum of five students or fewer in the Kids Signature 5 Program.

With class sizes this small, it is easier for children to socialize and make friends, and learn the skills needed to become a great skier or snowboarder. In addition, they’ll be able to choose what they want for lunch from one of the resort’s restaurants.

The lesson program, Signature 3 Program, mixes two 75-minute sessions of instruction with the Kids Corral educational activities. In addition to the ski or snowboard lesson, your child can participate in arts and crafts or play at the Children’s Learning Center. This program can give your child a little bit of variety.

Also, if you desire a private instructor, Park City Mountain Ski Resort has great teachers to help you learn new techniques and better the skills that you already have.

If you want to enjoy some of what Park City has to offer off the slopes, there are great restaurants, shops, tubing at Gorgoza Park, the Alpine Coaster, or horse-drawn sleigh rides.

After the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, Utah skiing has been put in the public spotlight, both nationally and internationally. One specific location that has grabbed many people’s attention is the Park City ski area.

With indescribable snow conditions, superlative terrain, first-class lodging, world-renown restaurants, and fun clubs and shops, the Park City ski area has become one of the best areas to visit.

Park City and The Canyons resorts have specifically been noticed because of their expansive bowls, World Cup runs, and a variety of beginner and intermediate terrain. This duo is a really hard one to beat. With ski in and out access and some of Utah’s largest mountains, you will have the time of your life.

If you care about easy access; light, powdery snow; and all sorts of terrain, you will most definitely want to see why Park City ski area has been so popular through the years. Park City’s location is awesome if you are traveling in by plane. The city is just 36 miles from the Salt Lake International Airport.

To even create more of a convenience for you, lodging accommodation are close to the slopes and you can enjoy night skiing every day of the week.

If you like a variety of activities on your skiing vacation, you can find many things to do off-slope too. As an old Victorian mining town, Park City has so many historical things to see. You can take the complimentary trolleys around town to your desired destinations, or even get a tour of historic downtown.

The Park City ski area is a fun and beautiful place to vacation. If you want to experience some of what Utah offered to Olympians in 2002, you will not be disappointed!

If you are a purist when it comes to skiing, you will appreciate that Alta Ski Resort is one of the few resorts that don’t allow snowboarding.

This resort is also a local favorite due to the many long and fabulous runs, high speed lifts, and great scenery. With low-cost lift tickets and easy traveling distance to Salt Lake City, makes Alta Ski Resort one of Utah’s premier locations.

It is only 25 miles southeast from Salt Lake City Center at the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon. And if you are not a local, arriving at Salt Lake International Airport, you only need to travel about 45 minutes to your awesome, awaiting skiing experience.

Skiers of all levels can appreciate the different types of terrain and fabulous snow conditions. Most advanced skiers like this resort because of the difficult runs and bowls, but there is skiing at Alta Ski Resort even for beginners.

If you don’t have skis of your own, or want to travel light, especially with all of the airline restrictions, Alta has their own rental shop. This creates a great option for those who can’t afford skis of their own, or just want added convenience.

Alta Ski Resort also offers convenient ski-in/ski-out closeness to their five different lodges. Depending on your mood, you can enjoy a more rustic encounter at the Snowpine Lodge. Or if you are feeling more like an elegant dwelling, you can stay in the Rustler Lodge.

Alta is one of the most beautiful ski areas. With different types of terrain and mountain scenery, Alta Ski Area sets the stage for an unforgettable skiing experience. Due to the snow’s characteristics, Alta is constantly rated #1 for snow quality in Utah. Because of the Great Salt Lake is nearby, Alta benefits from the lake effect. The saltiness of the lake provides the mountains with light, powdery snow.

Many experienced skiers choose to ski at Alta Ski Area because of the unique snow. The snow is also soft, which benefits all those beginners who have a hard time staying on their feet.

One of Alta’s drawbacks is that it is a ski-only experience. If you are a snowboarder, you should take note that this major resort does not allow you access.

Alta Ski Area provides not only stunning scenery, but also great runs. Alta provides an exciting experience especially for experienced skiers. Not only is there 2,200 acres of skiable terrain, but there is a vertical drop of 2,020 feet.

Beginning skiers don’t have the luck of the draw at Alta. Due to the more difficult terrain and runs, Alta is a paradise for intermediate and advanced skiers.

Just 25 miles southeast of Salt Lake City and about 33 miles from the Salt Lake International Airport, Alta Ski Area is conveniently located for both locals and visitors. There is also a ski bus route from many locations in Salt Lake City that take you right to the base of Alta’s lifts.

Skiers can benefit from the convenient schedule at Alta as well. You can enjoy a full day of skiing if you prefer, or you can just go for the morning, afternoon, or even half-day.

If you aren’t persuaded yet, lift tickets at Alta Ski Area are well-priced. For example, the cost of an adult’s season pass 2007/2008 is only $59. Discounted tickets are priced at $54. In addition, Alta has ranked number 1 by SKIING magazine for five years in a row (from 2002-2006).

So if you want the skiing experience of a lifetime, you should visit Alta Ski Area!
